The Mollificio Officine Meccaniche Fratelli Fantozzi was founded
in 1914 in Persiceto (area of Via Casagrande, Via Mazzini
and Via Fossato) on the intuition of Giuseppe Fantozzi. In
1936, Mr. Fantozzi spontaneously handed over the flourishing
company he had created to his workers. On 3 December 1936
the Società Cooperativa Officine di Persiceto was established
(its head office located in Via Fossato), with Mr. Fantozzi
as its chairman.
Over the months, this unusual and improvised cooperative society
became a true business enterprise that continued (and it may
be said, improved) the already good quality work and manufacture
started by its former ownership. At the end of the war, luckily
the partners returned home safe and sound and, although the
Società Cooperativa Officine di Persiceto had the name
and structure of a Cooperative, it embodied the progress and
enthusiasm of a private company.
Work thrived within the Cooperativa, orders were placed, success
beamed upon the Cooperativa and its partners, who single-handedly
covered every possible job and position. The partners sought
out the best materials for the various production orders;
they purchased directly from the steelworks, manufactured
and then sold their products themselves. They took part in
Trade Fairs and Exhibitions, doing everything possible to
make the Cooperativa known.
At the start of the 60s, the partners realised it was no longer
possible to continue manufacturing on an industrial level
in Via Fossato. Therefore, in 1963, the business was moved
to a new site just outside S. Giovanni in an area destined
to become the artisan and industrial district. The structure
of the cooperative also changed: the 12 partners of what was
once the Società Cooperativa Officine di Persiceto
founded a joint-stock company called Mollificio Industriale
Persicetano, which is located in 16 Via Castelfranco.
In truth, the organisational structure changed very little:
as in the days of the Cooperativa, the materials were purchased
by the same men (once partners, now stockholders), who thanks
to their concrete thirty-year experience travelled in person
to various steelworks in France, Germany and England to choose
the most suitable materials for the varying and different
production processes.

springs of any size and for any application. We continuously
update our technology and constantly control each production
stage to ensure we satisfy even the most demanding customer.
Today, just as yesterday, quality and customer satisfaction
are the keystones for Mollificio Industriale Persicetano and
the reason why in 2002 the company achieved ISO 9001: 2000
quality certification.
